The Journey

I'm Shashwat Jain, a senior developer with an insatiable curiosity for how systems work and an obsession with building software that doesn't just function—it excels. My journey through technology has been driven by a simple belief: great software emerges from understanding both the problem domain and the underlying systems deeply.

Over the years, I've evolved from building traditional systems to crafting intelligent agents that can reason and act autonomously. I've integrated AI models with external tools through MCP, developed enterprise applications with SAP CAP, and built commerce experiences on Shopify. But what drives me isn't just the technical challenges—it's the moment when autonomous systems work seamlessly, when AI agents execute complex tasks with precision, and when the impossible becomes effortless through intelligent automation.

What I Believe

Less Code, Less Bugs: The best code is often the code you don't write. Every line is a potential failure point, a maintenance burden, and a cognitive load. I strive for solutions that solve problems with elegance and simplicity, not complexity and verbosity.

Systems Are Only as Good as the People Building Them: Technology doesn't exist in a vacuum—it's created, maintained, and evolved by humans. The most sophisticated architecture means nothing without thoughtful people who understand the domain, communicate clearly, and care about the impact of their work on real users and fellow developers.

Cut Through the Noise: I'm a great admirer of Steve Jobs for his extraordinary insight and ability to focus on what truly matters. In a world of endless complexity and feature creep, the real skill is knowing what to leave out. The best solutions emerge when you strip away everything unnecessary and focus on the essential.

I run fixcoffee.in, India's fastest growing home coffee store specializing in premium equipment and wares. What started as a passion project has grown into a thriving e-commerce business that serves coffee enthusiasts across the country, helping them elevate their home brewing experience with carefully curated tools and accessories.
